Eyetracking Method

In this research method, eye movements are monitored using a hyper-accurate camera (eyetracker). The child sits on a chair or on the parent’s lap, watching a real or videotaped game scenario while the camera records the movements of the pupils. This method tells us that we focus on something longer the more it interests us. It enables us to gather information about the relevance of events without asking the children about it directly.
