Conformity
In our project on conformity we investigate whether children adapt their opinion to a majority of other children and what their motivation is to conform, or to not conform to other peers. One the one hand, we are interested in how the phenomena of conformity develops throughout childhood. On the other hand, we compare different populations between and within cultures. Therefore, we are currently not only working with children in Leipzig, but also in Vanuatu, a small island state in the South Pacific.
